Highly recommend. It was a bit noisy at night, but the shower pressure is great, the water was hot, the towels are so soft and the bed was comfortable. The communication from the hotel was top notch, texting and emailing all pertinent information and making sure we were in on the first night.

We loved our stay here! Our rescue Chili Dawg loved being included on our adventure west. The location was perfect and the setting beside the Gunnison River offers a serene place to relax. While in Delta don't miss eating at A&M (name changed recently?) and exploring the nearby parks/trails. We were there in May and missed the peak summer festival season, so hoping to return soon❤️

This hotel also looks like it has an RV campground attached to it. The rooms are fine, but it seemed they were in the middle of improving the space. The shower/shower head was in an odd place, so when we turned the water on, there was nowhere for the water to go, but outside of the shower door... All over the floor. We cleaned it up each time we took a shower, but it seems like it may cause damage over time (and you end up using a bunch of towels to clean up the mess). There is a TV in the room, but you must sign into a streaming service to use it; there is no cable/dish service. There is an interior and an exterior entrance to your room, but you must make sure to have your key if you are returning to your room after 8pm, because the interior doors are locked at that time. We did not engage with anyone at the front desk at check in or check out, but someone was communicating with us via email, so we didn't have any issues, there. We thought there was one other odd thing about the room: they had a sign on the door indicating the price of each item in the room they would charge you for, if you removed those things from the room. I'm not sure what kinds of theft problems they've had here in the past, but seeing that sign didn't make me feel great. It honestly made me feel like I needed to take pictures of every one of those items in the room before we checked out, so we could prove we didn't steal them, in the case we were charged for them.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and spacious, the staff was absolutely wonderful. Check in and out was easy, and the coffee was delicious. The resort is conveniently located. The grounds were gorgeous, and well kept. What a nice alternative to a hotel. Highly recommend!!!!!

Very fortunate to have a place like this in Gunnison. Evan the owner is an incredible person. Very helpful and caring. The staff is amazing. I locked myself out of my room and they were on site after hours in minutes. Very clean rooms, the sheets are very comfortable, and it feels like you’re in Colorado. They met all my accommodations. The rooms are fantastic. The atmosphere is incredible. I highly recommend anyone passing through to choose this place. It’s the best hotel in Gunnison hands down. Thank you Evan for everything.

Excellent place for an overnight, or an extended stay. Rooms were very comfortable. The rooms have a neat fenced in area for the pooch to use through the night as needed. There are great trails that run along the beautiful Gunnison river. Walk, bike, atv, the trails are for guests only and are gravel and scenic. I will certainly be back next time I am in the area! A big thanks to the Riverwood resort for a very nice and comfortable night's stay.

This place is a real gem, wonderful rooms, patio and right on the river, so peaceful and relaxing. Had coffee by the river this morning can't wait to do that the next few days! I would highly recommend! We stayed at the hotel, but the RV park is really nice as well ❤️‍🩹

Very nice rooms, quiet and super comfy beds. Check-in procedure is easy and management is very helpful and quick to respond. Big thumbs up!The walk to the center takes about 15 min along the main throughway, but of course you can drive 3 mins..We are European, so.. 😉

Our family travels to Delta from the front range a few times a year for family reunion type trips. I have to say this is by far the absolute BEST place I have ever stayed in the area. The resort is completely remodeled & has that new construction smell. My favorite hands down feature is the proximity to the river. I travel with two Golden Retrievers and am one of those dog-centric owners. Well, they couldn't have been happier with their accommodations. They had their own little porch patio and river access. A quiet walk in the pristine woods; peaceful and so incredibly relaxing. The communication from the owner/manager was fantastic and super easy. All keyless entry so need need for messy keys or checking after hours. Our room was very very clean and we will 100% be back. I liked the room so much, I may never bring my travel trailer again however the camping area looked even more beautiful than the room resort area ! So thank you again for making our stay so easy ! see y'all again soon ! JF

Our host was most accommodating, we lost our originally booked room for 5 nites with our dogs at another hotel nearby for mechanical issues and we were already in transit from New York state. We contacted Evan and he was very gracious and juggled some previously booked people so that he could keep us in the same room for all 5 nights. We were concerned since we didn't have any way to see the rooms etc. but being in a bind we booked. As it turned out the Inn was a beautiful place to fall into, the rooms were very neat and comfortable, clean and recently remodeled. The grounds were very well groomed and great for our dogs. Our room was on the very attractive riverfront with a little private back porch area that all the rooms had... very well thought out. The staff were extremely pleasant and responsive to the very minor needs we had, everything else was perfect already. We would go out of our way to stay here again if we are ever back in the area, it was very conveniently located for our travels in the San Juan Mountain area. Thanks again Evan. Mike & Diane V.

Spacious cabin, with a large bathroom, everything is clean and new, tastefully decorated. There is no staff and everything is self-service. Disconcerting at first but once there the place is warm and makes you want to stay longer. Especially when you relax in the small private garden with a view of the river.

I didn't encounter any staff during my three day stay but everything was well-provisioned, clean and comfortable. The room was great and I wish I had spent a little more time to just relax by the river. I recommend this as a place to station your exploration of Mesa / Delta / Gunnison counties.

My wife and I travel around the country, a lot, entirely on our motorcycle so we have stayed in quite a few motels over the years. Some are forgettable, and some are memorable. The Riverwood Inn is definitely one of the more memorable ones for sure! The rooms have been updated recently with some nice modern conveniences and well done decor, the entire place is warm and friendly, EVERYTHING is nice and clean, (a huge plus in my book!), and the river view from the back yard chairs was fantastic! The wife and I are honestly thinking of making another trip out this way to see more of SW Colorado and the Riverwood Inn will be part of that plan for sure!!

I tortured myself for years staying at a cheaper hotel when I was in Delta, but I took a chance on Riverwood. I'll never stay anywhere else! I highly, highly recommend the King suite with a full kitchenette. It's pet friendly with a small fully fenced area for your dog that sits right on the river. They have an excellent, friendly housekeeper who's hands down the best in sanitizing and cleaning.

This is a very nice, clean, quiet and recently renovated hotel. It is run with a self check in service where you use a code. It is conveniently located near groceries and fast food and the downtown area is just a short drive. It is dog friendly with a small fee per stay. There are nice areas to sit and walk along the river. There is a filtered water, ice & coffee area near the lobby with information about the area located there also.
